The living human body and its actions will bring us an alternative to the still works we see in the gallery. How much do we know our own bodies? How do you imagine the other bodies and senses next to you? The body and its wonder cannot to be controlled at all with your will or feeling. The series which MIMOCA starts from this month will introduce the Performing Arts; Performance, dance, drama e.g. physical expression.

To begin, for the first time, MIMOCA invites Yuya Tsukahara (b.1979) . He will have a week residency in Marugame and make a creation with the collaborators. Tsukahara has organized “contact Gonzo”, a performance collective” from 2006. As his first solo project at MIMOCA, he will make a radical performance which has a considerate concept, clever amateurism and a sense of service as to be expected. Tsukahara who has worked beyond various genres, will imprint an alternative perspective into the performance.

The "Torattoria" is a series of dinning and design events which have been organized by Martino Gamper, Åbäke’s Kajsa Ståhl and Maki Suzuki, Alex Rich from 2002. Gamper, a good chef as well, will create a special recipe named “basta la pasta” (that means “enough with the pasta” in Italy) which is a collaboration with pasta and popular local noodle “udon" and a special cocktail for this exhibition. Let’s have a great time with the unique delicious food and drink with the artist himself. An interpreter will be with the artist and everybody is most welcome.
