Five performers will perform a live performance in which they will practice communication using their bodies through Akane Saijo's work. In addition, after hearing about the performance from the artist, you will have the opportunity to experience blowing and transporting the work together. Please enjoy this special time to experience the artist's thoughts at the museum at night.
*We ask that you remove rings, watches, and other jewelry when touching the works. Also, please wear shoes that are easy to remove.

Akane Saijo
Born in 1989, she graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts in 2014 with a Master's degree in ceramics from the Kyoto City University of Arts, and studied as an exchange student at the Royal College of Art, London, in 2013. In recent years, she has been presenting ceramic sculptures and performances in which she breathes her breath and voice into them, based on the keyword ‘physicality’ from the hollow inside and the glossy texture of the surface, which are the characteristics of ceramics. She also stays at ceramic studios around the world and produces works based on local legends and historical facts.
